We used these for our daughter for about 6 weeks after she was born. We had some issues with stiffness... but I found that if I finished the drying process in the dryer and let them dry completely in there the stiffness wasn't an issue. They fit great and were adorable to boot. At around 6 weeks they still fit but she started out peeing the absorbancy, but it worked for us because they were a rental diaper and she fit into our OS stash at that point, so we just switched over.

Rash problems

I was VERY excited for these. I use pretty much the entire line of GroVia products and have never been let down, until now. I started putting these on my newborn (9lb 3oz) and at first they seemed stiff. I actually worried that the gussets were cutting off circulation a couple times. My son started to develop a rash at a week old and it didn't go away (Even with prescription creams, sposies, and GroVia MagicStick - usually a miracle cure) until I finally started putting my little guy in GroVia hybrids and AIOs. Maybe his 'junk' was too big and they were snug because of that, but everytime I put them on looser he would leak. He was in them about a month (except for 5 days off for the sposies/prescription which seemed to help the rash, but it came back stronger after I started putting these back on). I feel like they might be better fitting for a girl. I've been cloth diapering for almost 2.5 years now and have never had an experience like this with any other diaper.

We always suggest adding a towel or two to the washer AND dryer when doing small loads. It helps the washing machine add the proper amount of water to clean and helps "fluff" in the dryer.

We bought 12 of these, for 5-12 pounds. At 8 1/2lbs they were too small on the short snap, and they are still short on him and snug at 10 lbs on the open setting. But my biggest complaint is the cleaning and leakage. I have followed the prep and cleaning instructions to a tee. Pee cleans out fine, but poop doesn't. There are several seams in the liner. Poop residue soaks into those seams and the leg pleats. It does NOT wash out. The only way to get them clean is to scrub the seams :(. Drying takes FOREVER. It took 3 hrs in a fairly new dryer to dry 6 of them. I sun dry them, which takes a couple of hours and bleaches them white as new (as far as actual stains). But even the sun doesn't get that poop residue out if it's not clean out of the wash. They also leaked out the sides fairly often with both poop and pee. The diapers are adorable, but that's the only positive. I would never recommend the NEWBORN ones. We paid almost $200 for something we used less than two weeks.

Nice fit but takes forever to dry

i bought the hybrid diapers for my son. But he was early and only 6 pounds. I bought the newborns in a hurry! They have a great fit and are easy to use. The only drawback is that they take forever to dry. And trying to save $$ and be green drying them multiple times in the dryer is kinda bad. I hang them out in the laundry line with the inner flap pulled away from the main diaper. They dry fairly fast and the sun bleaches them nicely.
