These trainers vary from the Gerber trainers at Target in that they have a hidden layer of PUL inside the diaper that helps to keep clothing dry during "Ooopsy" accidents. They aren't waterproof, mind you. But, they are organic cotton, incredibly soft and fit snugly.

Very nice and soft, but pricey |

I love these undies. I agree they are pricey. Going through many per day during the beginning stages of potty training is hard. I would not like snaps though because that is not what it is like to wear undies. I swear that changing the big kid pants is what got my little guy motivated. These are really plush and absorb well, but I cannot get past the price. We have 1 pair, and I plan to use them with future kids so we can get our money's worth. But in terms of the function of the undies they are super nice and cozy.

Yes, these are similar to the Gerber thick pants at Target with the exception that they contain a hidden waterproof layer between thirsty layers of organic cotton to keep clothes dry. They won't catch major pees - but they will contain an accident on the way to the potty. The Imse Vimse Training Pant is a great option if you don't already have a larger sized waterproof cover, like a Thirsties http://www.bumritediapers.com/Thirsties_Cover_p/thirsties_cover.htm, to cover the Gerbers. Agreed on the #2 part: a snap off or side opening would be more convenient when a #2 accident occurs. Definitely a late-stage trainer.

Seems to be a pricey option when really it is basically like the thick training underwear you can find at Target. Yes, it's organic so if that is a big deal for you than it could be a better option. A good option if you have a kid that leaks a little pee before realizing they need to go to the bathroom, would have worked better with my firstborn in that way. Not a good option if your child is still having pooping accidents. I'd rather have the option to unsnap it, for cleaner removal.

These worked well for my daughter. When she didnt want to be in a diaper, because she was a big girl now, she was very happy to have "big girl pants" and I was happy that it caught the occasional accident!
