Love this detergent. All water is different. Call you local Water company and ask if your municipal water is Hard or Soft?
With Hard water, you need to use more detergent. With Soft water, less.
Adjust your detergent/soap use accordingly.
For an unscientific approach, you can also tell if you have Soft water if it takes FOREVER to rinse the conditioner out of your hair in the shower.

This detergent is commercially sound for cloth diaper--- free of everything that could hurt your diapers... but it takes a few extra rinses to get all of the bubbles out and is a bit expensive!
